It also consists of environmental samples such as: wastewater and filtrates, forensic samples and infected tissues. It is the most cited in literature lysing matrix for processing of soil and environmental samples.
It consists of optimized mixture of 0.1mm diameter borosilicate beads, 1.4 mm diameter zirconium silicate beads and 4mm diameter glass beads, all packed in an impact resistant tube.
