Lysing Matrix F, is distinguished by its white cap, is used for lysis of the cells for the purpose of isolation of intact organelles and supramolecular assemblies. It is optimized for high cascade impaction and low shearing.
Lysing Matrix F is also useful for the isolation of fragile macromolecules such as RNA and proteins with preserved tertiary structures, a cases where other lysing matrices are to aggressive. It consists of the processed, fractured sharp edges mixture of the Al2O3 and SiC crystals, 1.6mm in average diameter.
