Its main application is in stripping and scrubbing and lysing cells, spores, ovas, helminths and cysts and other hard samples that are affixed to the supporting media, for example to a sample collection sticky tape stripped skin cells, sticky tape collected intestinal parasites, or atmospheric microbes collected on the filter substrate.
